Government appoints chief justices of 5 high courts, transfers 4 others

NEW DELHI: The Union authorities on Monday notified the appointment of chief justices of 5 high courts – Madhya Pradesh, Karnataka, Gauhati, Patna and Jharkhand – whereas transferring the chief justices of 4 others.Acting chief justice of MP high court docket Justice Sanjeev Sachdeva has been appointed because the chief justice of the identical high court docket; Justice Vibhu Bakhru, a decide of Delhi high court docket, has been made the chief justice of Karnataka high court docket; Justice Ashutosh Kumar, performing chief justice of Patna high court docket, has been appointed as chief justice of Gauhati high court docket; Justice Vipul Manubhai Pancholi, decide of Patna high court docket, has been appointed as chief justice of the identical high court docket; and Justice Tarlok Singh Chauhan, decide of Himachal Pradesh high court docket, as chief justice of Jharkhand high court docket.The chief justices who’ve been transferred to different high courts are Justice Manindra Mohan Shrivastava, shifted from Rajasthan high court docket to Madras high court docket; Justice Aparesh Kumar Singh, from Tripura high court docket to Telangana high court docket; Justice M S Ramachandra Rao, from Jharkhand high court docket to Tripura high court docket; and Justice K R Shriram, from Madras high court docket to Rajasthan high court docket.The transfers are based mostly on the suggestions made by the Supreme Court Collegium on May 26.
