Speculation on Govinda’s marriage to Sunita Ahuja has been erupting intermittently lately. Now, there are reviews that Sunita has filed for divorce, citing ‘cruelty and adultery’. While everybody who’s even remotely related to the couple has been contributing their two-bit to the rumours, this author received in contact with a really shut friend of Govinda, who had this to say, “They have been married for 38 years. Like all couples, they have their ups and downs. Tell me, which couple doesn’t have their differences?”

Our source went on to add, “Yes, they(Govinda-Sunita) have their fights. Yes, violent fights. I have been a first-hand witness to some of them. But they will never separate permanently. After fights, Govinda shifts to his other bungalow and returns when things cool down.”About the strong current rumours of a permanent breach, the friend asserts, “Govinda would never leave Sunita. He will be finished without her. She anchors him, controls his moods. Without her, he will be lost. Even if matters have gone to court—and I am not saying, they have—the couple will sort out their differences, as they always do.”
