Experienced pacer Renuka Singh and key all-rounder Amanjot Kaur have returned to health simply in time for the women’s ODI World Cup.
While the duo has been chosen in India’s squad for the World Cup, to be co-hosted by India and Sri Lanka from September 30, opener Shafali Verma continues to be excluded from the ODI set-up.
The squad for the World Cup and the previous three-match ODI collection towards Australia was chosen by the nationwide women’s choice committee, headed by Neetu David.
Besides the selectors, the assembly was attended by captain Harmanpreet Kaur, vice-captain Smriti Mandhana and head coach Amol Muzumdar.
