The Indian Premier League 2025 has welcomed a distinctive new member to its team – a robotic digital camera dog.
In a video revealed on social media by the IPL, former New Zealand cricketer and commentator Danny Morrison formally revealed his new broadcast companion earlier than the match between the Delhi Capitals and Mumbai Indians on the Arun Jaitley Stadium on April 13.
Danny Morrison offered some intriguing info concerning the robot dog. He clarified: “It can walk, run, greet, but most importantly, it has the vision of a pet.”
In the video, the robot dog stands on its hind legs and varieties a mechanical coronary heart with its limbs. Morrison playfully mentioned, “Don’t get too close!”
The robot instantly drew everybody’s consideration, shocking the athletes and the viewers.
While Delhi’s Axar Patel appeared confused, Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya excitedly greeted the robot within the video. When the robot dog received to his toes, Mumbai Indians participant Reece Topley appeared shocked.

During the Lucknow Super Giants vs Chennai Super Kings match on the Ekana Cricket Stadium in Lucknow, M.S. Dhoni couldn’t resist having a good time with the robot dog, playfully choosing it up and putting it down sideways to the delight of the gang.
The IPL has invited followers to help in naming the robot dog.
