Israeli soldier killed in northern Gaza, first since ceasefire with Hamas collapsed

The Israeli army introduced on Saturday an Israeli soldier was killed and three had been severely injured throughout fight in northern Gaza. The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) recognized the soldier as Warrant Officer Ghaleb Sliman Al-Nasasra.
“Warrant Officer G’haleb Sliman Alnasasra, aged 35 from the Bedouin community in Rahat, a tracker in the Northern Brigade, Gaza Division, fell during combat in northern Gaza. The IDF expresses its deepest condolences to his family and loved ones. May his memory be a blessing,” lieutenant colonel Nadav Shoshani, IDF’s worldwide spokesperson, wrote on X.

Al-Nasasra is Israel’s first fatality since a ceasefire with Hamas collapsed in mid-March.
Shoshani additional mentioned through the incident in which Al-Nasasra died, one other tracker in the Northern Brigade was severely injured.
Two different troopers who had been severely injured are from IDF’s Border Protection Corps, he added.
At least 412 Israeli troopers have been killed in the Gaza offensive since the army launched a floor assault on the Palestinian territory on October 27, 2023.
The battle in Gaza broke out after Hamas’s unprecedented assault on Israel on October 7, 2023.
