ISRO signed a proper settlement with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) on Wednesday (September 10, 2025) for the transfer of technology for the manufacturing of Small Satellite Launch Vehicles (SSLV), marking a major step in trade participation within the area sector.
The settlement, the a hundredth transfer of technology settlement facilitated by area sector promoter INSPACe, was inked in Bengaluru by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), NewSpace India Limited (NSIL) and INSPACe with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL), which outbid a consortium led by Adani Group-backed Alpha Design Technologies.

The intention is to finish your entire technology transfer course of inside 24 months from the date of signing the settlement, an announcement from the Indian National Space Promotion and Authorisation Centre (INSPACe) stated.

He stated the settlement would enable HAL to independently take up the realisation of SSLV and cater to each home and worldwide markets.

Mr. Sunil stated HAL would apply its engineering and manufacturing power to construct SSLVs, practice the required workforce and progress in direction of constructing a self-reliant ecosystem in order that India may provide common, cost-competitive small-satellite launches to home and world clients.
