Kerala Film Critics Award: ‘Feminichi Fathima’ Best Film, Tovino Thomas, Nazriya Nazim and Rima Kallingal win acting honours

Feminichi Fathima, directed by Fasil Muhammed, has gained the award for the most effective movie within the forty eighth Kerala Film Critics Award for the 12 months 2024. Indu Lekshmi bagged the most effective director award for her movie Appuram. Tovino Thomas was adjudged finest actor (male) for his performances in ARM and Anweshippin Kandethum, Nazriya Nazim and Rima Kallingal shared the most effective actor (feminine) award for his or her performances in Sookshmadarshini and Theatre-The Myth of Reality respectively.

Jury chairperson George Onakkur declared the awards in Thiruvananthapuram on Tuesday. Thekkinkad Joseph, Aravindan Vallachira, Jose K.Manuel and A.Chandrasekhar had been the opposite members of the jury. Film critic Vijayakrishnan was chosen for the Chalachitra Retnam Lifetime Achievement Award. Actor-scriptwriter Jagadeesh was awarded with the Ruby Jubilee Award constituted to commemorate the fortieth 12 months of the Association for his excellent contributions to Malayalam cinema.

Actors Seema, Babu Antony and Suhasini, Cinematographer and director Vipin Mohan, Producer Jubilee Joy Thomas and motion choreographer Thyagarajan had been chosen for the celebrated Chalachitra Prathibha Awards.

Special Jury Award for excellence in Acting: Jaffer Idukki (‘Orumbettavan’, ‘Qalb’, ‘Mandakini’, ‘Chattuli’, ‘Am A’, ‘Kuttante Shinigani’, ‘Anandapuram Diaries’), 2. Harilal (‘Karthavu Kriya Karmam’, ‘Prathimukham’), 3. Pramod Veliyanad (‘Kondal’, ‘Theatre The Myth of Reality’).

Best Child Artiste (male): Master Angelo Christiano (‘Kalam Std V B’).

Best Child Artiste (feminine): Baby Melisa (‘Kalam Std V B’).

Best Screenplay: Don Palathara, Sherin Catherine (‘Family’).

Best Lyricist: Vasu Areekkode (‘Ramuvinte Manaivikal’), Vishal Johnson (‘Prathimukham’).

Best Music Director: Rajesh Vijay (‘Mayamma’).

Best Playback singer (Male): Madhu Balakrishnan (tune ‘Om Swasthi’, Movie: ‘Sukhino Bhavanthu’)

Best Playback singer (Female): Vaikkom Vijayalekshmi (tune ‘Angu Vaanakkonil’. Film:ARM), Devananda Girish (Song: ‘Naattinidayana. Film: ‘Sukhno Bhavanthu’).

Best Cinematography: Deepak D. Menon (‘Kondal’).

Best Film Editor: Krishand (‘Sangharsha Ghatana’).

Best Sound: Resool Pookkutty, Lijo N James, Robin Kunjukutti (‘Vadakkan’).
