NEW DELHI: Shortly after India launched Operation Sindoor on Wednesday, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval spoke along with his US counterpart and secretary of state Marco Rubio, the Indian Embassy in Washington confirmed.“India’s actions have been focused and precise. They were measured, responsible and designed to be non-escalatory in nature. No Pakistani civilian, economic or military targets have been hit. Only known terror camps were targeted. Shortly after the strikes, NSA Ajit Doval spoke with the US NSA and Secretary of State Marco Rubio and briefed him on the actions taken,” the embassy stated in a press release.Earlier to this, reacting to the navy motion, US President Donald Trump stated he had simply been knowledgeable about it as he entered the Oval Office. “It’s a shame. We just heard about it as we were walking in the doors of the Oval. Just heard about it,” he instructed reporters, including that he hoped the scenario would de-escalate rapidly.The strikes by India had been carried out in response to a terror assault in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pahalgam in Anantnag district on April 22, the place 26 civilians had been killed by Pakistan-backed terrorists.
