After making a stellar debut in the world of OTT with ZEE5’s Vilangu (2022), actor Vemal is again in the identical house with a raw and rooted story. The actor is enjoying the lead in JioHotstar’s upcoming Hotstar Specials Om Kaali Jai Kaali. The makers launched the sequence’ trailer and additionally introduced the streaming date of the sequence.
Said to be “an intense folklore revenge drama set against the backdrop of Tamil Nadu’s grand Dussera festival”, the sequence will stream on JioHotstar from March 28.
In a press release launched by the makers, Vemal, who performs Ganesan in the sequence, mentioned, “Ganesan is unlike any character I have played. The transformation from festival performer to warrior was a thrilling challenge.”
Director Ramu Chellappa says, “Dussera is not just a festival—it is an emotion. We wanted to bring this raw intensity to life through a story that blends folklore with revenge.”
Om Kaali Jai Kaali additionally stars Ganja Karuppu, DRK Kiran, Elango Kumaravel, Pugazh, GM Kumar and Divya Duraisamy.
