Operation Chhatru: Encounter between security forces and terrorists in J&Ok; gunfight under way | India News

NEW DELHI: An encounter between security forces and terrorists broke out in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kishtwar on Wednesday.According to the officers, the encounter began after the J&Ok police, assisted by the Army and the CRPF, launched an operation in Kuchal space of Chatroo following inputs about terrorists’ presence.“Op CHHATRU: Based on specific intelligence a joint search operation was underway in Kanzal Mandu, Kishtwar. Contact has been established with the terrorists and operations are in progress,” the Army stated in a social media put up on X.Terrorists opened hearth on noticing the security search events, resulting in a gunfight, the officers added.Meanwhile, reinforcements have been rushed to the world to keep up a good cordon and neutralize the terrorists.
