Brody was speaking to journalists on the red carpet as he was accosted by Berry who embraced him and the duo proceeded to kiss on the red carpet. The Academy’s official social media shared the second and known as it, “A reunion 22 years in the making.” 

The two actors kissed on the Oscars stage on the similar venue again in 2003. Interestingly, Brody went on to win an Oscar for Roman Polanski’s The Pianist again in 2003 and the actor additionally gained his second-ever Oscar on the 97th Academy Awards immediately for his efficiency as a Holocaust survivor in Brady Corbet’s The Brutalist.
