The Pakistan Cricket Board has shifted the remaining eight matches of its Pakistan Super League Twenty20 competitors to the United Arab Emirates following rising tensions between India and Pakistan.
The PCB confirmed the relocation to Dubai in a press release launched early Friday (May 9, 2025), citing rising considerations amongst abroad gamers and the necessity to prioritise their security. Once logistical preparations are accomplished, the ultimate schedule, together with revised dates and venues, can be introduced.
Rawalpindi, Multan and Lahore have been due to host the remaining video games.
“The PCB has always stood by the position that politics and sports need to be kept apart,” PCB chairman Mohsin Naqvi, who can also be Interior Minister within the Pakistan authorities, mentioned in a press release.
“The PCB has determined to shift the remaining matches (of PSL) to UAE in order that the home in addition to international cricketers, who’re our treasured visitors, might be saved,” Mr. Naqvi mentioned.
