MYSURU: Scores of Karnataka farmers plan to go on a padayatra (march) to a shrine in Mandya subsequent month looking for divine intervention to get brides, eight months after an analogous effort by one other group. In December, the Mandya bachelors plan to march to the Adichunchanagiri Mutt underneath the banner of the Akhila Karnataka Brahmacharigala Sangha.
“We met Adichunchanagiri seer Nirmalanandanatha Swami and the seer gave his consent for the yatra. The target is to create consciousness in society concerning the bride disaster,” mentioned KM Shivaprasad, founding father of the Sangha.
