Sikkim landslide: Four useless, three missing in Yangthang; rescue operations under way | India News

NEW DELHI: An early Friday landslide struck Upper Rimbi in West Sikkim’s Yangthang constituency, leaving a minimum of 4 individuals useless and three others missing.According to SP Geyzing Tshering Sherpa, three individuals have been killed on the spot, whereas two injured girls have been rescued by police, SSB personnel and native villagers. Rescuers constructed a makeshift tree log bridge over the flooded Hume River to achieve the victims.Despite being rushed to the District Hospital, one of many girls succumbed to her accidents, whereas the opposite stays in important situation. Search operations are underway to find the three missing people.(This is a creating story)
