Six migrants have died and 40 are missing after a shipwreck off the Italian island of Lampedusa late on Tuesday (March 18, 2025), Italy’s important information company ANSA and different media reported on Wednesday (March 19, 2025.)
“Italian coast guard vessels have so far rescued 10 people and resumed the search for any other survivors early on Wednesday (March 19, 2025),” ANSA and different information companies reported.
The Italian coast guard didn’t instantly reply to a Reuters request for affirmation of the experiences.
“The survivors told rescuers that many among a group of 56 migrants fell into the water owing to bad weather after setting off from Tunisia in a dinghy,” the companies reported.
