The T20 Mumbai League will return after a six-year hiatus, with the third version set to start on May 26. The league will proceed to have eight homeowners, similar to its second version in 2019, with two new workforce homeowners in Sobo Mumbai Falcons and the Mumbai South Central.

The Roadway Solutions India Infra Ltd. secured the working rights of Team Sobo Mumbai Falcons for ₹82 crore, whereas Royal Edge Sports & Entertainment acquired the workforce representing Mumbai South Central area for ₹57 crore. The earlier homeowners — Shivaji park Lions and Sobo Supersonics — had backed out with the league having returned following a protracted break because of the Covid pandemic.

“We are confident that the league will return with a bang and will provide a platform for Mumbai cricketers to showcase their talent,” Ajinkya Naik, the Mumbai Cricket Association president, mentioned after welcoming Rohit Sharma because the model ambassador for T20 Mumbai Season Three.

Each workforce will likely be allotted an icon participant primarily based on the draw of heaps. The eight icon gamers which have been finalised are Suryakumar Yadav, Shreyas Iyer, Ajinkya Rahane, Shardul Thakur, Shivam Dube, Tushar Deshpande, Prithvi Shaw and Tanush Kotian.

Each icon participant will likely be allotted a hard and fast sum of Rs. 15 lakh. Including the icon participant, the public sale purse for a workforce will likely be Rs. 1 crore, with a most squad measurement of 18 gamers.
