A supernatural thriller, rooted within the folklore of North Malabar, Vadakkan stars Kishore and Shruthy Menon in lead roles. The movie’s screenplay and dialogues are penned by Unni R., with Bijibal composing the music. Pakistani singer Zebunnisa Bangash lends her voice to a monitor written by Bollywood lyricist Shellee. Vadakkan, the makers say, attracts inspiration from Dravidian Puranas and historic folklore. The movie merges conventional storytelling with digital know-how, to create a visually and sonically immersive expertise.
