NEW DELHI: A coach aircraft crashed in Gujarat’s Amreli on Tuesday. The pilot was killed in the incident, police informed PTI.
The aircraft belonged to a non-public aviation academy crashed. The accident occurred round 12:30 pm close to the Giriya Road space of Amreli city. According to Superintendent of Police Sanjay Kharat, the pilot, who was flying solo, took off from Amreli airport earlier than the airplane crashed because of unknown causes.
The aircraft reportedly struck a tree earlier than crash-landing in an open plot close to the Shastri Nagar space, which helped stop additional casualties. The airplane was engulfed in flames, however no different accidents have been reported.
Kharat confirmed the aircraft belonged to a Delhi-based aviation academy working from Amreli airport. Local police have begun a probe into the crash and initiated procedures for registering an unintended loss of life case.
