U.S. President Donald Trump stated he has no intention of making exemptions on steel and aluminium tariffs and stated reciprocal and sectoral tariffs will probably be imposed on April 2.
Last month, Mr. Trump raised tariffs on imports of steel and aluminium to a flat 25%, with out exemptions or exceptions, in a transfer that was designed to assist U.S. business whereas contributing to an escalating commerce struggle.

Speaking to reporters on Air Force One, Mr. Trump stated reciprocal duties on U.S. buying and selling companions would come alongside auto duties.
“In certain cases, both,” Mr. Trump stated when requested if he could be imposing sectoral and reciprocal tariffs on April 2. “They charge us, and we charge them. Then, in addition to that, on autos, on steel, on aluminium, we’re going to have some additional,” he stated.
Mr. Trump has stated beforehand that he would impose reciprocal tariffs on U.S. pals and foes alike initially of April.
