DEHRADUN: Over 30 individuals are feared to be trapped after a portion of the under-construction tunnel from Silkyara to Dandalgaon in Uttarkashi collapsed, on Sunday.
District Justice of the Peace and the Superintendent of Police from Uttarkashi district are presently on-site, overseeing the scenario.
District catastrophe administration officer Devendra Patwal stated that as per preliminary data, the incident occurred at round 270m depth from Silkayara facet of the tunnel.The tunnel is 2340m deep.
The State Catastrophe Response Drive (SDRF) and Police Income groups have additionally been deployed to the situation to help in reduction efforts.
Commander of the SDRF, Manikant Mishra, upon receiving the knowledge, has directed SDRF rescue groups to mobilize to the location with vital rescue gear.

Uttarakhand chief minister Pushkar Singh Dhami stated taht he has been involved with the officers from the time he received to know concerning the incident.
