U.S. visa holders shall be deported if they’re discovered to be violating U.S. legal guidelines and immigration guidelines, stated the U.S. Embassy on Saturday (July 12, 2025). The announcement got here days after the U.S. authorities introduced that social media accounts of candidates must be turned to “public” to permit verify of social media posts by the U.S. authorities.

“U.S. visa screening does not stop after a visa is issued. We continuously check visa holders to ensure they follow all U.S. laws and immigration rules – and we will revoke their visas and deport them if they don’t,” stated the U.S. Embassy in a social media put up.

A day earlier, the U.S. embassy had warned that “falsifying or omitting information” associated to social media accounts may result in visa denial and future visa ineligibility. The tightening of the visa guidelines is a part of the Trump administration’s measures to stop unlawful immigration.

The U.S. Embassy in India has been cautioning concerning the tightening visa procedures within the current months and on June 28 had warned that folks trying to commit visa frauds can be “held responsible” for his or her actions saying, “If you break U.S. law, you will be punished with significant criminal penalties.”
