NEW DELHI: The Election Commission of India introduced that the election of the Vice President of India will happen on September 9, 2025. The ECI has launched the schedule in accordance to which the final date for submitting the nomination is August 21 and the counting of votes will additionally happen on September 9.As per Article 66(1) of the Constitution, the Vice-President of India will be elected by an Electoral College comprising the elected members of the Rajya Sabha, nominated members of the Rajya Sabha and the elected members of the Lok Sabha.This is a creating story
