Ukraine’s President Volodymyr Zelenskyy on Sunday (August 17, 2025) hailed the choice by Washington to offer security guarantees to Ukraine, talking a day forward of his assembly in Washington with U.S. President Donald Trump.
“Security guarantees, as a result of our joint work, must really be very practical, delivering protection on land, in the air, and at sea, and must be developed with Europe’s participation,” he stated on social media.
His message got here after a video convention earlier on Sunday of a gaggle of Ukraine’s allies in Europe, together with the leaders of Britain, France and Germany.
