Shankar was born right into a musical household, starting his research of pakhawaj and tabla on the age of eight. Pandit Bhavani Shankar who is called the Pakhawaj maestro handed away on December 30, 2023, on Saturday. His household has confirmed the information and stated that his ‘rasam kriya’ will happen on December 31, from 12pm onwards in Borivali. Shankar had a chest ache within the afternoon and sadly he handed away on the spot and the household could not even rush him to the hospital.
