NEW DELHI: With India and Australia set to face within the World Cup ultimate in Ahmedabad on Sunday after which lock horns in a five-match T20I sequence simply 4 days after the mega event, former England skipper Michael Vaughan on Friday slammed the scheduling of the T20I sequence.
After the World Cup Last on November 19, the T20I sequence commences from November 23 and Vaughan sided with the gamers, saying that they need to be given relaxation and time to take pleasure in their success of the World Cup.
“It doesn’t proper with me that the two finalists 4 days later will begin a T20 sequence in opposition to one another .. why can’t we enable gamers the possibility to have a moments relaxation after a WC or whoever wins the possibility to have fun correctly for a few weeks .. It’s full greed and over kill,” Vaughan wrote on X (formally Twitter).
India go into the World Cup ultimate unbeaten and 10 wins in a row whereas 5-time champions Australia suffered a few defeats within the group stage of the event.
Whereas India crushed New Zealand by 70 runs within the first semi-final, the Aussies beat South Africa by three wickets to make their eighth World Cup ultimate.
The 5 T20I between India and Australia can be performed in Visakhapatnam, Thiruvananthapuram, Guwahati, Nagpur and Hyderabad and can run from November 23 to December 3.
