Established in 2018, the Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay NIF Guide Prize is an annual award which is given to the most effective work of non-fiction writing about Impartial India’s historical past. From a longlist of 10 books, a shortlist of 5 books for Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay NIF Guide Prize 2023 was introduced on November 20. The jury for this 12 months’s Guide Prize embody political scientist Niraja Gopal Jayal (Chair of the Guide Prize), historian Srinath Raghavan, columnist-writer Navtej Sarna, lawyer Rahul Matthan, columnist-writer Yamini Aiyar, and entrepreneur Manish Sabharwal.

The winner of this 12 months’s Kamaladevi Chattopadhyay NIF Guide Prize will probably be introduced on December 1, 2023. The winner will probably be awarded INR 15 lakhs and a quotation.
