In December 2009, Mr McFadden wrote in response to a letter from then-Conservative MP James Arbuthnot, a long-standing campaigner on the difficulty, that it was a matter for Publish Workplace, not the federal government, and Publish Workplace had advised him “there’s nothing to point that there are any issues with the Horizon system”.
