The division bell hasn’t been working on the Purple Lion for round six or seven years. A spokesperson for Fuller’s, which owns the pub, mentioned: “Lately, they [MPs} all get a message on their telephones so our division bell is considerably redundant. It is a disgrace when these traditions fade away – however the legends stay on.”
