Maharaja Yaduveer Krishna Dutta Chamaraja Wadiyar, the Maharaja of Mysore, on Saturday (September 14, 2024), lauded the set up of a bronze statue of the famend poet Atukuri Molla, at Tummalapalli Kshetrayyavari Kalakshetram.

Talking after inauguration of the Telugu poet who authored Ramayana in Telugu language, he known as it an auspicious event and mentioned that the poet’s Ramayana will stay everlasting.

Recognized by her caste, she was popularly often called Kummara Molla. Poet Molla wrote the Ramayana in easy Telugu language throughout the reign of Vijayanagara emperor Sri Krishnadevaraya within the sixteenth Century. Till then, the Ramayana had been written solely in Sanskrit, however Molla made it accessible to the widespread folks by translating it into the Telugu language for the primary time, he mentioned.

He expressed concern over the decline of regional languages because of modernisation and emphasised the significance of preserving them. He mentioned the cultures, traditions and values of the nation owe a lot to Ramayana.

The programme was organised by Andhra Pradesh Kummara Salivahana Sangham below the management of former MLC Ailapuram Venkaiah. Minister Kollu Ravindra, MLAs Mandali Buddha Prasad, Gadde Rammohan and Yarlagadda Venkatarao, MLCs Lakshman Rao and Rama Rao, former MLCs and presidents of Andhra Pradesh Kummara Salivahana Sangham Ailapuram Venkaiah and Ailapuram Raja had been current.
