BIJNOR/SHAMLI: 4 cops have been suspended for “negligence” and a probe has been launched after a 19-year-old man accused of eloping with a minor was discovered hanging inside the home of a cop investigating the case.
As an alternative of taking Deepak Kumar to the police station in Bijnor, sub-inspector Sunil Kumar introduced the teenager to his home in Shamli on Sunday evening.On Monday morning the officer introduced that Deepak had “hanged himself”.
Deepak’s father Arvind Kumar accused the police of foul play, saying, “My son labored in Ambala, and the lady insisted he take her alongside. How did my son find yourself on the police officer’s home, and the place did he get a rope to hold himself with? That is homicide. The lady’s household and the police have killed him.”
Deepak had allegedly eloped with a 17-year-old lady from Bijnor to Ambala. Police stated the duo had been in a relationship for 2 years.
SI Kumar informed the investigating staff, “We determined to spend the evening at my father’s home in Shamli as our automobile broke down en-route Bijnor. The boy was locked in a room on first ground whereas lady’s household, different officers and I slept downstairs. Round 5:30am, the boy was discovered hanging from a railing.”
Shamli SHO Samaypal Atri stated that the police had been knowledgeable concerning the loss of life round 6am on Monday.
