Seamer Arundhati Reddy has admitted that India faltered on the ending line however stated one of the simplest ways ahead would be to forget the third T20I defeat shortly and are available again stronger within the fourth match as they eye a maiden T20I collection win over England.
India had been cruising at 122 for 1 in 13 overs whereas chasing 172 however stumbled within the last stretch, permitting England to snatch a slim five-run win in a last-ball thriller on Friday (July 4, 2025) night time to preserve the collection alive.
“I actually thought England bowled really well towards the end. It was a tough loss for us. We were in the game till the 16th over. Credit should be given to them for the plans they made. They executed them really well,” Reddy stated on the post-match press convention.
“I think the best thing would be to forget this game. We still played good enough cricket in most parts of the game. Probably lost our way in the last couple of overs, but it happens in cricket.
“We have a four-day break now. We play on the ninth subsequent. So, take break day, put together once more, and are available again stronger.” Opting to bat, England rode on commanding fifties from Sophia Dunkley (75) and Danni Wyatt-Hodge (66) in a 137-run opening stand before imploding to lose nine wickets for just 31 runs in 25 balls, finishing at 171 for nine.

“England had an excellent partnership at first. We thought we truly bowled very well within the first 10 overs. The dialogue after the ten overs was that we simply have to go for one wicket and we knew we would be again within the recreation. That’s what occurred,” Reddy said.
“Once we took the primary wicket, quite a lot of wickets got here in. So, yeah, it was an ideal comeback by the bowlers. It was a troublesome wicket to bowl on. I believed it performed very well within the first innings.” Both teams were sloppy on the field, dropping multiple chances, but Reddy felt it had nothing to do with the conditions.
“I feel it is simply errors that occurred from each ends. I do not assume it was a troublesome situation to subject in. Probably as soon as it comes from the stands – as a result of the stands are extensive – it might have made a distinction.
“But I didn’t feel there was anything in the conditions. I just thought we didn’t take our chances,” she stated.
India will tackle England within the fourth match of the collection in Manchester on Wednesday.
