NEW DELHI: As per the All India Survey for Greater Schooling (AISHE) 2021-22 launched by the Ministry of Schooling on Thursday, Uttar Pradesh boasts the very best variety of schools within the nation, with Maharashtra and Karnataka securing the second and third positions, respectively.
The highest 10 states when it comes to variety of schools in India embody Rajasthan, Tamil Nadu, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Telangana and West Bengal, every having not less than 30 or extra schools per lakh inhabitants.
Based on the survey report, in Uttar Pradesh, there are 8,375 schools — up from 8,114 schools within the earlier 12 months — and there are 30 schools for each one lakh inhabitants.

“Andhra Pradesh is on the seventh place with 2,602 schools and at eighth place Gujarat has 2,395 schools. Telangana is on the ninth spot with 2,083 schools adopted by West Bengal which has 1,514 schools,” it added.
The Ministry of Schooling has been conducting AISHE since 2011, overlaying all greater academic establishments positioned in India and imparting greater training within the nation.
The survey collects detailed data on completely different parameters resembling scholar enrolment, lecturers’ knowledge, infrastructural data, monetary data, and so forth.
There are 45,473 schools registered beneath AISHE belonging to the 328 universities (affiliating). Of those 42,825 responded within the survey 12 months 2021-22.
The survey report identified that greater than 60 per cent schools are common in nature, 8.7 per cent schools are specialised in training or trainer training, 6.1 per cent schools are engineering and know-how establishments, 4.3 per cent nursing schools and three.5 per cent medical schools.
Whereas 2.7 per cent schools provide arts programs, 2.4 per cent are devoted to pharmacy programs, 0.7 per cent science schools and 1.4 per cent Sanskrit schools.
“Out of the 42,825 responding schools, 14,197 schools are providing PG programmes and 1,063 have PhD enrolments,” the report mentioned.
Schools per district are broadly distributed throughout the nation. As a lot as 10.7 per cent schools out of whole registered in AISHE are within the high 10 districts.
